3-Panel Designs
Three-panel boxer shorts are created using only three
fabric panels. (1) the panel to the right of the fly
area, (2) the panel to the left of the fly area and,
lastly, (3) a rear panel that reaches to each outside leg
seam (the seam that runs down the outside of each
leg).
The benefits of a three-panel design are: (1) no rear
seam that runs down the crack of your butt, or worse
yet, seams that traverse each cheek (yikes!), (2)
the construction has fewer seams to come apart, (3)
the construction is roomier, and (4) transitioning
from part to part is pristine since there are fewer
parts to put together.
In total, there are only seven pieces involved in the
construction of our three-panel boxer shorts: (1) the
panel to the right of the fly area, (2) the panel to
the left of the fly area, (3) a rear panel that reaches
to each outside leg seam, (4) a superb waistband, (5) a fastener,
(6) our company logo, and (7) care label. Oh yes, we
use thread too!
Three-panel shorts may not please everyone, but all will
admit that they are the most comfortable construction
method for boxer design, and the durability of the
design is phenomenal.
