City Boxers Main Image City Boxers Privacy Statement

Upon entering cityboxers.com, we do a check to see where you are coming from. Other than this, we do nothing else to gather information on visitors to the site. The reason we do this is so we can tell if visitors are coming from some of the "paid" sites where we have purchased links. Curious!?! Well, 99.9 percent of our visitors still come from web searches made through sites that we did not pay advertising fees to. Interesting, huh?!?

We do keep records on who we sell boxer shorts to, but these records are totally private and will never, and I mean never, be sold to anyone. This information is not kept anywhere on our web server, so there is no chance that a snoopy person will access your data.

As far as how safe is your information, well, there are just two of us here--my business partner and myself. So, the information you send to us will not be handled by more than just us two. And, we have both been in business long enough to know that messing with our customers will not benefit us in the long run and we do plan on being around for a very, very long time to come.

Another concern you might have is excessive marketing after making a purchase. Other than a brief followup asking for purchase comments after a purchase and to see how our boxer shorts are holding up, we will not be on you constantly with marketing junk. You see, I shop on the internet myself and, frankly, abusive marketing ticks me off. So, we are just as conscious of your security and privacy concerns and hold these concerns dear to us. We will not abuse you!

Upon placing an order, we do send a cookie over to your computer if you allow us to do so. We leave this decision up to our customers so there is no misunderstanding as to what we are doing. If the customer chooses not to have the cookie sent to his or her computer, we do not do it. At least we ask, right!?! This cookie is for your benefit as a City Boxer shopper and has nothing to do with us gathering information for marketing purposes or gathering statistics. It's sole purpose is to fill out the order form for you upon reordering boxer shorts in the future. No sensitive information, i.e. credit card numbers, are placed in this cookie. We wanted to do this so our regular customers would not have to fill in this information every time they reappear to place an order. Considering the large percentage of reorders we get, it did make sense to do this. We had thought about passwording a database that we keep on the server here to keep track of this information, but this would seem to be a more dangerous approach. And, even though I shop at PCConnection regularly, I can never remember my user name and password so I still end up filling out the order form once again. You see, a cookie is simply a text file located on your computer that no one else can access except for the domain/website placing the cookie or yourself. Security wise, this approach is very safe.

In conclusion, we will not do anything to make you regret becoming a customer of City Boxers. For more, visit our Message Board.
