City Boxer Shopping Information

We cut and sew your boxer shorts after we receive your order so we are not at all like other boxer short companies. We do not have boxer shorts gathering dust in a warehouse. On the contrary, we have lots of different fabrics (gathering dust in our backroom ;>) we can use; none of which are cut until an order comes in requesting that fabric.

We can create your boxers based on many different variables. In fact, your boxers can be made in 5,760 variations. For instance, we have 40 different sizes from which to choose (23-XS to 55-4X), we have four different lengths (3", 4", 5" and 7"), three waistbands (inside exposed, plush waistband or we can cover a 1-1/2-inch waistband in fabric), we can use buttons, snaps, no fastener, or we can close the fly entirely, and, lastly, we can create an excellent safety pouch for your shorts, or not, or we can add a snap rail so you can snap the pouch from another pair you have had a pouch added. And, since we have around 150 fabrics, this makes for almost a million variations. Wow!

With all of this going on, shopping here must seem like a daunting task. Actually, it is pretty simple, really?!? However, if you should have questions, I will gladly respond to your email asking for advice on boxer component choices, or you can use our handy dandy message board to inquire about our shorts. And, if you are a do-it-yourselfer, there are many areas on the web site offering information that should help you make informed choices.

The Web Site

The City Boxer web site is "miner friendly." If you enjoy digging for information, you will love this site. Only the main site pages are visible upon opening and navigating the site. You can, however, find tons of information by clicking on any of the hundreds of hyperlinks spread all over the place. These hyperlinks will typically bring up simple popup windows that will supply you with information that will help you understand a lot about what we do, materials we use, generalized boxer information, specific boxer information, measurement charts, etc.

Our Boxers Generally

All of our boxers are loose fitting and extremely comfortable. If you are looking for tight fitting, knits, you won't find any of these here.

Our prices range from $16.95 and up, and price will depend on what you are looking for. Our prices typically increase as the fabric costs increase. Some prices are higher due to the fact that some styles are harder to create. Generally, though, the reason one style is more expensive than another is because the fabric is more expensive.

On our style selection pages, you will need to make some choices. Each fabric we buy can be cut many different ways for you, and you will need to know what you want. If you need help understanding the choices you can make, you can click on the hyperlink close to the item you are unsure of. For instance, if you want more information about 'size', there is a hyperlink to the right of where you choose the size. A popup window will appear where our sizing method is explained. And, towards the bottom of the window, there is another list where you can hyperlink to more popup pages giving size measurement information. There are many of these hyperlinks throughout the City Boxer web site to help with your choices.
