Double Nap FlannelsDouble-nap flannels are great for bopping around the house or for keeping you warm when out and about in crummy weather. What is a double-nap flannel? All flannels start as a piece of fabric that is brushed on at least one surface. This brushing action gives the fabric this soft, smooth feel that makes for wonderful bed sheets and pajamas. A double-nap flannel is a bit different in several ways. First, it is thicker than most flannels and, second, it is brushed on both inside and outside surfaces. Brushing fabric does reduce the life of the fabric. The thicker fabric of a double-nap is to extend the life of the fabric since it is brushed on both surfaces. A thin fabric that is brushed on both surfaces will not live a long life. Our double naps do wear well and are incredibly comfortable. |
